History

Lamon Construction was founded in 1950 by Lonnie Lamon and his son Henry. They were later joined by Lonnie’s two other sons, Grady and John. The company continued for 30 years under the direction of the three “Lamon Brothers”. In 1990 Henry Lamon became the sole owner and was assisted by his son Hank. Hank has grown up working for the company. After college Hank returned to work his way up the company ladder, holding various jobs from a carpenter to an estimator, until becoming the general manager. In 2005 Hank became President of Lamon Construction Company Inc. The Lamon family has been deeply involved in the local community over past years, serving on various local boards such as Fremont-Rideout Hospital, Sutter County Levee Commission, Valley Contractor’s Exchange and the Yuba-Sutter Builders & Developers. Henry Lamon had served as the mayor of Yuba City and Grady Lamon as the mayor of Marysville. Hank Lamon also served locally as member and president of the Yuba Sutter Builders and Developers and his lengthy services on the board of the Valley Contractor’s Exchange. In 2011, Hank Lamon added partners Ken Norton and Steve Ithurburn and all three are poised to take Lamon Construction forward in the traditions of quality and hard work that Lonnie Lamon started some sixty years ago.
